Can't find the course you are looking for?
At Warnborough College, we understand that pre-designed courses may not meet everyone’s needs. For example, the course title sounds just right but the course content falls a little off the mark. Sometimes, it is the other way round. We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to ‘design’ your own qualification.
- Choose any combination of related modules*.
- Add them up to create the qualification you want.
Start out with one module first, then add other modules as you progress. You do not have to decide upfront what modules you wish to be committed to. Sometimes, it is better or easier to decide on future modules after completing the first one. You get a ‘feel’ for the subject area and can make a more informed choice.
Naturally, we are here to assist if you need advice and guidance.
What are the advantages?
- Create a qualification that is highly-specific to your needs and required skills
- Get a distinct advantage over your competition in business or the workplace
- Only study and pay for subjects which are relevant to your needs
*Approval Criteria
Your selection of modules must satisfy the following:
- Only standard courses of at least 100 hours will be acceptable
- The structured qualification must be seen to be teaching new knowledge and skills.
- Previous studies may be accepted for credit towards a qualification (see RPL). Modules will not be approved if you have undertaken similar studies in the same subject area elsewhere in the recent past (within 5 years).
- Modules selected must not cover the same topics excessively (e.g. Agricultural Soil Management and Horticultural Soil Management are too close to each other and would not be allowed).
- All modules must bear a relationship to the title of the qualification, or you must be able to demonstrate a link. For Advanced Diplomas upwards, 75% of modules selected must bear a relationship to the title of the qualification (i.e. 25% can be non-related electives).
- The selected combination must make sense, and have a purpose.
